164 young soldiers join Ladakh Scouts regiment

As many as 164 recruits, hailing from different parts of Ladakh, were on Saturday inducted into the Army after completing a rigorous training programme, a defence spokesman said.

As many as 164 recruits, hailing from different parts of Lakh, were on Saturday inducted into Army after completing a rigorous training programme, a defence spokesman said. An attestation pare for induction of young soldiers into Lakh Scouts regiment was held at Regimental Centre in Leh, he said.

spokesman said ceremony conducted in consonance with highest tritions of Indian Army was reviewed by General Officer Commanding, Trishul Division, Major General Sanjiv Rai. It was attended by a spectrum of civil and military dignitaries, including war heroes of regiment and parents of recruits, he said.

He said young soldiers took oath in unison to serve nation. Maj Gen Rai congratulated young soldiers for impressive pare and urged m to devote ir lives in service of nation, spokesman said. reviewing officer also exhorted m to continue to strive hard in pursuit of excellence in all spheres and take a solemn vow to uphold sovereignty of nation against all odds in true spirit of Army, he said.
