19 Maoists Arrested in Separate Operations in Chhattisgarh's Sukma

19 Maoists, including 3 wanted ones were arrested by the forces in separate operations across Chhattisgarh's Sukma district, police officials said.

Sukma: Around 19 Maoists were arrested by security forces in operations across Chhattisgarh 's Sukma district, 3 of m carrying bounty, 14 Maoists were arrested from Jagargunda police station area, while five were caught in Bhejji police station limits on Sunday, a police official said.

Out of those 14 Maoists, aged between 18 to 40 years, held in Jagargunda, three carried a bounty of Rs 1 lakh each, he said.

3 Maoists arrested from Bejjji police station h previously been issued permanent arrest warrants by court. arrests were me with involvement of Bejjji police, Jagargunda police force, DRG, 219th and 150th battalions of CRPF, and 201st Cobra battalion. 

official said trio included Barse Hma (25), a militia commander, and Barse Nagesh (20) and Hemla Jitu (18), who were working with CNM (Chetna Natya Mandli — a frontal wing of Maoists), he said.

armed forces recovered three gelatin rods, 300 gm of gunpowder, cordex wire, firecrackers, detonators, electric wire and batteries from 14 cres, he ded.

In one of those operations, 5 Maoists were arrested from Bhejji. y were allegedly involved in murders of a villager in Bhandarpar in September and an electrician engaged in laying a power transmission line in same village in February this year, police official said.

arrested Maoists were active in outlawed outfit for eight to ten years, he ded.
