2 US Nationals Held in Bihar for Travelling Without Valid Documents

Mhubani: Two US nationals, including a woman, were arrested in Bihar 's Mhubani district when y were allegedly trying to cross over to Nepal without valid travel documents, police said on Sunday.

police also arrested two locals who provided m with logistical support during ir stay in Jainagar area near India-Nepal border.

According to police, security personnel of 48th battalion of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) intercepted two Americans near Betaunha border outpost under jurisdiction of Jainagar Police Station while y were leaving India for Nepal on Saturday afteron.

"y were held by SSB personnel as y were trying to cross over to Nepal without valid travel documents. arrested US nationals are a couple. woman, born in Nepal, married to man and took US citizenship. Both were jointly interrogated by police, SSB and officials of or ncies concerned," Jainagar Deputy SP Ankur Kumar told PTI.

" police registered a case and arrested both US nationals. Two locals were also apprehended for providing m with logistical support," he said.
