20-year-old man stabbed to death in Delhi after fight breaks out
"He died on the spot. His dead body was lying on the road near Lakhan Chowk in Bhagirathi Vihar. A blood-stained knife was found at the spot," said a top cop.

New Delhi: Yet another stabbing incident from North East Delhi’s Gokulpuri area of Bhagirathi Vihar has come to light. 20-year-old Imran aka Mahir, who is a resident of Ghaziabad’s Loni, was stabbed to death on Wednesday evening around 9 PM. As per police officials, a case was registered in Gokulpuri Police Station after a call was received regarding a stab injury and murder of a man near Lakhan Chowk. Residents said that a fight among three people resulted in the murder of the young man.
On stabbing incident, North East Delhi DCP Joy Tirkey informed that the local police officials reached the spot and found that the young man who used to work in a factory to make flex boards in Paharganj was stabbed in his abdomen. ‘'He died on the spot. His dead body was lying on the road near Lakhan Chowk in Bhagirathi Vihar. A blood-stained knife was found at the spot near the dead body. Body was shifted to GTB Hospital mortuary for post-mortem,’' he said.
After the preliminary investigation, the family members of the deceased were informed. In a statement, the deceased's brother said that Imran had no fight with anyone and he used to work in a flex board shop at Pahar Ganj Delhi.
Police officials said that CCTVs in the vicinity are being scanned to nab the accused adding that the concerned team is examining Eyewitnesses. Efforts are being made to trace Faizal. Sources said that the matter blew up as the deceased Imran aka Mahir had an altercation with an acquaintance known as Faizal and his associates, which ended up with him being stabbed to death at the spot.
Further investigation in the case is in progress.
