23-Year-Old Haryana Man Arrested For Sexually Harassing Woman on Goa-Bound Flight

Panaji: A 23-year-old man was arrested on charges of sexually harassing a co-passenger on a flight. 

police officials said that incident took place on Tuesday on board Air India flight from Delhi to Goa, between 11 am and 1:20 am, PTI reported. 

Giving furr details, officials said that 28-year-old woman, a resident of Janakpuri in New Delhi, told m that when plane was airborne, man, who was sitting next to her, pulled over a blanket and allegedly started indulging in objectionable acts.

Following this, woman filed a police complaint against man after flight landed at Goa International Airport at Dabolim in South Goa.

As per FIR, man purposely kept blanket open at side of victim during act.

Later, Dabolim airport police arrested man, identified as Jitender Jangian, hailing from Panipat in Haryana.

A case has been registered against accused under sections 75 (sexual harassment) and 79 (actions intended to insult a woman's modesty, including verbal insults, inappropriate gestures or objects, and privacy invasion) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, police ded.
