New Delhi: Nearly a month after the BJP reprimanded Kangana Ranaut for her controversial remarks on the farmers’ protest, the actor-turned-politician sparked a fresh row stating that the three contentious farm laws, which were repealed after extensive protests by farmer groups, should be brought back by the government.

"I know this statement could be controversial but the three farm laws should be brought back. The farmers should themselves demand it", Kangana said while speaking to reporters in Mandi.

Earlier the BJP MP from Mandi Kangana Ranaut had courted controversy claiming that ' Bangladesh -like anarchy' could have happened in India during the farmers' protests.

Bangladesh -like anarchy could have happened in India also like in the name of Farmers protest. Outside forces are planning to destroy us with the help of insiders. If it hadn’t been the foresight of our leadership they would have succeeded,” Kangana Ranaut was heard saying in a video shared on X.

The first-time BJP MP had faced massive backlash for her previous comments regarding the farmers' protests. Moreover, a CISF personnel was recently transferred to Bengaluru from Chandigarh after allegedly slapping the Bollywood actor-turned-politician last month. For the unversed, CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur had slapped Kangana Ranaut in early July due to her remarks about the women protesting alongside farmers in India in 2020. The incident occurred at Chandigarh Airport.
