35-Year-Old Govt Clerk Found Dead inside Tehsildar's Chamber in Karnataka's Belagavi, Probe Underway

Belagavi: A 35-year-old govt employee was found dead under mysterious circumstances inside chamber of Tahsildar's office in Karnataka's Belagavi on Tuesday, said police.

So far, death te was recovered.

Soon after police received he information about death of govt employee, a Second Division Assistant, incident, a police team rushed to site and launched an investigation.

"Today morning, our inspector received information that a person had hung himself in chambers of Tehsildar. We visited spot. Upon preliminary examination of body, it can be seen that he hung himself with a veil," news ncy PTI quoted a senior police officer as saying.

A detailed investigation will be carried out into death of Rudranna, y said.

"We will take up a case based on complaint by his family members and we have also called investigating officers, and Forensic Science Laboratory team to crime scene and y will do a detailed spot inspection. Based on complaint, a detailed investigation will be carried out," he said.

CCTVs installed on premises were being scanned as part of investigation to ascertain sequence of events.

exact reason behind his death is yet to be ascertained. More details are awaited.
