'A Quantum leap':  Paresh Rawal hails DRDO scientists and PM Modi's 'determined political will' following India's game-changing 'Mission Shakti' A-SAT Anti-satellite test

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday announced that India has attained yet another remarkable feat demonstrating its anti-satellite missile capability by shooting down a live satellite. In the space mission named 'Mission Shakti', which successfully operated in just 3 minutes, an anti-satellite weapon or A-SAT was used to target and bring down a live satellite on a Low-Earth Orbit (LEO). Describing it as a 'rare achievement', PM Modi said that India has now become the fourth nation in the world to have achieved the feat after US, Russia, and China.

Following the massive announcement, actor-politician Paresh Rawal took to Twitter and congratulated the DRDO scientists for the successful mission. He also hailed the 'determined political will' of the Indian Prime Minister owing to which the county now made its place in the exclusive club of space superpowers. In a Twitter post, he wrote, "#missionShakti A Quantum leap . salute to our scientists and Determined political will . @narendramodi"

While addressing the nation at 12:35 PM on Wednesday, PM Modi said, "India has entered its name as an elite space power. An anti-satellite weapon A-SAT successfully targeted a live satellite on a low earth orbit. India has registered herself as a Space Power today; till now only the US, Russia and China have achieved this; now India is the 4th country to achieve this feat. It was a very difficult mission. It is a very proud moment for India and its citizens today. I would like to congratulate the scientists of India who operated the mission successfully,"
