Tamil Nadu: Student with travel history to Ireland tests positive for coronavirus

A third positive case of Coronavirus was reported in Tamil Nadu on Thursday. A student with a travel history to Ireland has been tested positive.

state of Tamil Nu, on Thursday, confirmed its third positive Coronavirus case. According to Health Ministry sources, a 21-year-old student from Dublin, Ireland, h tested positive for Coronavirus. student has been kept under observation at Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital's isolation ward. With latest case of virus being reported, total number of positive cases of Coronavirus has increased to 185.

Tamil Nu Government issues travel visory

Earlier on March 16, State government decided to shut down all educational institutions including, schools, colleges, universities, and or coaching centers till March 31. government has also vised people to avoid traveling to  states affected by Coronavirus for next 15 days. government appealed to people to avoid tours with family until situation gets back to rmal.  Instructions will be given to tourist clubs and resort t to take bookings until March 31.

Along with this, CM Palaiswami has instructed people to avoid garing in large numbers at religious places. He also directed  temple manment to screen devotees who visit temple/church/mosque.

According to latest figures available on Thursday,  total number of positive cases of Coronavirus in India has risen to 185. Four deaths have been reported in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Punjab and West Delhi respectively. India has suspended all visas, barring for a few categories such as diplomatic and employment apart from keeping in abeyance visa-free travel facility to OCI cardholders till April 15.

Moreover, Centre has “strongly vised” Indians to avoid all n-essential travel abro. government is also monitoring all suspected cases and has issued preventive visories. 

Taking into consideration rising number of Coronavirus cases, Central Government on March 14 decided to treat dely virus as a "tified disaster." government has also decided to go into a partial lockdown as it ordered shut down of all educational institutions, places of social garings like swimming pools, spas, gyms, museums, and cultural centers.
