In a massive development on Tuesday, ruling Aam Ami Party (AAP) government in national capital accused Delhi Police of putting Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal under house arrest ever since he visited protesting farmers at Singhu Border on Monday. In a tweet, party claimed that " one has been permitted to leave or enter his residence."

AAP leer Saurabh Bharwaj dressing a news conference said that CM Kejriwal met farmers at Singhu border on Monday and he h said that we'll serve m like 'Sevars' and support m. "After he returned, Delhi Police barriced his residence from all sides, putting him in a house-arrest like situation, at behest of Home Ministry," he said.

Kejriwal on Monday visited Singhu border, where thousands of farmers are protesting against Centre's new farm laws, and reviewed arrangements me for m by city government. Kejriwal was accompanied by his Cabinet ministers and some party MLAs during brief visit to protest venue on Delhi-Haryana border.
"I checked arrangements. We received a lot of pressure to allow use of stiums as temporary prisons but we did t give permission and I feel this helped movement. Since n our party MLAs and ministers have been involved in ensuring that farmers do t face any discomfort," he said.

"We are working like 'sewaar'. Here I have t come as a Chief Minister but as a 'sewaar' to serve farmers. It is our responsibility to support farmers. I hope soon a solution is reached," he told reporters.

Aam Ami Party will hold a peaceful demonstration in national capital on Tuesday in support of 'Bharat Bandh' called by farmer unions protesting on Delhi's borders demanding repeal of Centre's new agri-marketing laws, said party leer and Delhi minister Gopal Rai on Monday. party has extended its support to 'Bharat Bandh' and Rai appealed to all citizens to extend ir support to it.

" AAP will hold a peaceful demonstration on December 8 in support of Bharat Bandh called by farmers at 11 am at ITO crossing of Delhi," Rai was quoted as saying in a party statement. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal h said that all AAP workers across country will support nationwide strike and appealed to all citizens to support farmers.
