Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee has taken to Twitter to congratulate Abhijit Banerjee for winning bel prize in Ecomics for his experimental approach to alleviating global poverty. Abhijit Banerjee has won 2019 Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Ecomic Sciences along with Esr Duflo and Michael Kremer. West Bengal Chief Minister expressed her delight on a Bengali winning prize and making nation proud.

About Abhijit Banerjee and his work leing to bel Prize
Abhijit Binayak Banerjee is an Indian American ecomist of Bengali herit. He is currently Ford Foundation International Professor of Ecomics at Massachusetts Institute of Techlogy. He is a former professor of Harward and Princeton University.
