Actor-Politician Nandamuri Harikrishna passes away in a road accident

Actor-turned-politician Nandamuri Harikrishna passed away in a ro accident on Wednesday morning. Harikrishna was on his way to attend wedding of a fan when his car crashed into a ro median on Nalgonda Highway. He suffered serious he injuries and was rushed to Kamineni Hospital where he was declared de.

Political background: 

N Harikrishna, 61, was son of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) founder and former Chief Minister of Andhra Presh Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. He was also  bror-in-law of present Andhra Presh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. In early 90s, when TDP was going through internal fluctuation, Harikrishna played a crucial ro in getting party back on track. He was also a Minister in Naidu's cabinet and later also served as a Member of Parliament.

Film Industry: 

NTR’s fourth son, Nandamuri Harikrishna, tasted success in film industry as a child artist. He me his acting debut in Sri Krishnavataram as little Krishna in 1964 which was directed by Kamalakara Kameshwara Rao.

1977: He worked in Daana Veera Shura Karna

1998: After a long gap, he returned to his acting career with a guest role in  Mohan Babu-starrer Sri Ramulayya

1999: This was a year of rejoicing for Harikrishna's fans as actor did a full-length role alongside Nagarjuna in Seetharama Raju

2002-2003: Laahiri Laahiri Laahirilo (2002) and Seetayya (2003), which are directed by YVS Chowdary, are considered biggest hits of his career

Nandamuri Harikrishna is survived by his wife, two sons, and a daughter. From his first wife, he h two sons, Janaki Ram and Kalyan Ram, and a daughter Suhasini. From his second wife, he h a son Taraka Ram who was later renamed by his far Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) as Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Jr (NTR Jr). Both Kalyan Ram and NTR Jr are successful actors in Telugu film fraternity.
