After Nagrota, Army successfully diffuse IED in Kulgam, averting another terror attack

In yet ar major success in averting ar terror attack, Indian Armed Forces on Friday safely destroyed an improvised explosive device (IED) that was fitted in a pipe in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam area. IED was detected by 9RR (Rajputana Rifles) of Indian Army and J&K Police along with CRPF in Shurat area of Kulgam, after which a bomb disposal squ was called in to defuse IED.
This development comes just a day after Forces neutralised four Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists in Nagrota who h infiltrated LoC to orchestrate a 26/11 like terror attack. ir plot was to also conduct a massive terror attack ahe of District Development Council (DDC) elections unleashing chaos of electoral process in Union Territory. DDC elections which are starting from vember 28, hold prominence for being first democratic process after abrogation of Article 370. polls to DDCs will be held in eight phases from vember 28 to December 19, while voting counting process will be held on December 22.

terrorists who h infiltrated LoC on Wednesday night were said to be travelling in a Kashmir bound truck from Jammu, and Forces intercepted m at 4:30 am.
