Such was severity that belongings of jawans from 39th Battalion PAC Mirzapur stationed opposite Kanshiram Colony, could be seen floating in water.

Ram Temple Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Mishra on Tuesday rejected allegations of temple's chief priest regarding seepage of rainwater draining out of water from sanctum sanctorum.
"re was no water leakage but rainwater came down from pipes fixed to install electric wires. I have inspected building of temple. second floor is under construction. When roof of second floor is finally constructed, n rainwater will stop entering temple," Mishra said while talking to reporters here.

Alleging negligence in construction of temple, Ram Janmabhoomi temple chief priest Acharya Satyendra Das h on Monday alleged that re was no arrangement for draining out of rainwater from temple premises after showers on Saturday midnight and urged temple authorities to take necessary corrective measures. Das h asked temple authorities to take cognisance of incident and make necessary arrangements to stop leakage and ensure outflow of water from temple.
He h claimed that re was heavy leakage from roof of temple's sanctum sanctorum in first heavy showers that occurred at midnight on Saturday. Rainwater was leaking from roof directly above place where priest sits in front of Ram Lalla's idol and where people come for VIP 'darshan', he h said. "It is very surprising that engineers from all over country are building Ram temple. temple was inaugurated on January 22. But, no one knew that if it rains, roof will leak. "It is surprising that roof of a world-famous temple is leaking. Why did this happen?" he ded. Such an incident is happening in presence of such big engineers, which is very wrong, he h said.

Committee Assures Measures Being Taken
Mishra said measures have been taken to protect devotees from water and sunlight by making temporary construction on roof. About progress of temple construction, Mishra said work on first floor was on and will be finished by July this year. He expressed hope that construction of temple would be completed by December.
