After two months of house arrest, NC delegation meets Farooq Abdullah

A15-member delegation of the National Conference met party chief Farooq Abdullah and vice-president Omar Abdullah at their residence in Srinagar on Sunday

After two months a 15-member National Conference (NC) delegation on Sunday met party chief Farooq Abdullah, who has been under house arrest in J&K. This came a day after Jammu and Kashmir government allowed NC delegation to meet former CM. News ncy ANI released first visuals of NC delegation meeting Farooq Abdullah at his residence in Srinagar. Farooq Abdullah's wife Molly also joined meeting with NC delegation, which consisted of senior leers of party including Hasnain Masoodi and Akbar Lone.

Speaking to news ncy ANI after meeting Abdullahs, NC leer Devender Rana said that both former J&K CMs - Farooq and Omar Abdullah - are well and in high spirits. He emphasised on release of Kashmir leers, ding that both leers are pained by developments in J&K. delegation also apprised leers about developments after Article 370 abrogation.

Led by NC Jammu provincial president Devender Singh Rana, delegation flew to Srinagar from Delhi for meeting with Farooq Abdullah on Sunday morning. delegation was granted permission to meet leers from J&K Goverr Satya Pal Malik on Thursday evening.

Leers to be released soon

In aftermath of abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, a number of Kashmiri leers were put under house arrest. Recently speaking in matter, Farooq Khan, visor to Jammu and Kashmir Goverr stated that detained leers will be released from detention. He said that y will be released after individual analysis of each of m. However, he did t state exact date of ir release. Major Kashmir politicians including former J&K Chief Ministers Mehbooba Mufti, Omar Abdullah, and Farooq Abdullah have been detained in Srinagar since August 5 when Article 370 was abrogated by Centre.
