As skit performed on Ram Leela by students of AIIMS Delhi have sparked significant outrage, premier medical institute in Delhi issued a stern warning on Monday dressing all of its student bodies and employee unions, threatening disciplinary action if y continue to dwell in such acts. AIIMS top authority also vised m to desist from such acts in future.

AIIMS registrar noted in an visory that a number of complaints h been received regarding staging of an 'offensive' skit/play in AIIMS Delhi dormitory and its subsequent posting on social media. Even as AIIMS Student Association issued an apology on Sunday, stating that act 'did not mean to hurt anyone's sentiments, registrar’s visory suggested that act is being viewed seriously and necessary disciplinary action will be taken if such an act was repeated in future.

On Sunday, AIIMS Student body apologised, claiming that act 'did not mean to hurt anyone's sentiments.' AIIMS Student Association issued a statement on Twitter stating that "such acts" would not be repeated in future. play, which intended to give Ramayana a 'modern spin,' sparked widespre controversy among netizens, who claimed it was insensitive to Hindu sentiments. Soyeb Aftab, a first-year MBBS student, hosted event, which was sponsored by an education app that has previously been accused of harming Hindu feelings.

“Video clip of a Ramleela skit by some students of AIIMS has been circulating on social media. On behalf of students, we apologise for conduct of this skit which wasn't meant to hurt anyone’s sentiments. We'll ensure that no such activity takes place in future,” statement re.
