Air Force Day: President Ram Nath Kovind wishes 'air warriors'

President of India, Ram Nath Kovind paid his respects to the brave warriors on the 87th Air Force Day. The IAF will celebrate the day at a ceremony near Delhi

President of India Ram Nath Kovind tweeted in hour of brave men and women of armed forces as Indian Air Force celebrated its 87th anniversary. President, early on Tuesday morning, houred warriors, veterans and families of Indian Air Force. "On Air Force Day, we proudly hour our air warriors, veterans, and families of Indian Air Force." He also mentioned great work done by patriots and how country is forever indebted to m for ir hard work, devotion and sacrifice. "y safeguard our skies with cour and commitment. India remains forever indebted to brave men and women in blue for ir selfless devotion and sacrifice".

RE | Rajnath Singh To Hold Talks With French President Before Rafale Sortie

On eve of Air Force Day, Air Chief Marshal, Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhauria called on President at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Air Force will be celebrating day with a grand ceremony at  Hindon Air Force Station in Ghaziab.  ceremony will include a march past, flypast and a speech by Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhauria who took over position as 26th Air Chief Marshal on September 30.

Rafale handover ceremony 

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also tweeted his greetings on occasion. Defence Minister is currently in France for a three-day visit. During his visit, he is set to attend an event for formal hand-over of Rafale fighter jets.  Singh will perform a 'shashtra puja' -  a ceremony to worship weapons. event will take place at premises of Dassault Aviation, manufacturers of Rafale jets. Rajnath Singh will also fly in Rafale jet, and he will be flown by a French pilot since Indian Air Force pilots are still being trained to fly jet. India will start receiving first set of Rafale fighter jets from May 2020 onwards.

Before his departure, Rajnath Singh stated he will be attending Annual Defence Dialogue and Induction Ceremony of Rafale. Singh will hold Annual Defence dialogue with French Minister of Armed Forces Ms Florence Parly. On October 9, he will dress CEOs of French Defence industry during which he is likely to urge m to participate in “Make in India” and DefExpo to be held in Luckw from February 5-8, 2020.
