Due to the aircraft steering getting freezed, the aircraft was dragged and pulled till 14 minutes and then brought to tarmac for proper positioning at airport.

Jaipur: A big accident was averted on Thursday as Air Indian Express flight I5-761 from Mumbai faced a major issue while landing at Jaipur airport. The incident, which took place at 8:47 am, faced a steering issue while landing on the runway. According to reports, the passenger and crew on board stated they heard a loud noise of tyre burst as the airline landed. After the loud sound, the passengers panicked as the aircraft got stuck in the middle of runway. The crew informed shocked passengers that the pilot has informed the Air Traffic Control (ATC) immediately of the situation. Following the alert, ATC quickly diverted the next flight which was going to land on runway at 9.15 am and informed the ground staff of the situation .

Denying reports of tire mishap, Air India Express has issued statement saying:

"There was no tyre burst or tyre stuck as reported in news, I5-761 aircraft steering got stuck/freezed when it landed on runway, the aircraft was dragged and pulled till 14 minutes and then brought to tarmac for proper positioning at Airport . Passengers were evacuated safely and all passengers were safe. It took 2 hours to fix  steering problem and later the same flight with I5-762 left for Mumbai , The flight earlier was scheduled at 9.35 am departure for Mumbai but left at 11.40 am .
