The Airport Authority of India has said that Shabana Azmi's Instagram post on a funny signboard on Chennai Airport was morphed. After a hilarious picture of a signboard made rounds in social media finally reaching Bollywood actress Shabana Azmi, the actress posted it on her twitter handle. The post showed a signboard that read "Eating carpet strictly prohibited" which in Hindi read "Farsh par khana mana hai". The missing connector "on" between 'eating' and 'carpet' created hilarious reactions and also caught the attention of the Airport Authority.

Airport Authority of India tweeted out a post requesting people not to circulate morphed pictures without proper fact-checking.

Shabana Azmi's post goes viral

The picture was first posted in 2015 and has since then been posted on social media several times. Azmi was surely not aware of the fact for which she posted the image which instantly went viral again. Netizens found the translation hilarious and posted loads of comments in the post. The image posted on November 1 has received 3765 likes and over 334 comments by now.

Response to Azmi's post

A user reacted to the post saying: "First one for Desi pplz second one for leftist liberals😂". A second user said: "That is woah 😹 @azmishabana18".
