Jadar Akal Takht Giani Harpreet Singh has opposed move of Jammu and Kashmir ministration to break down Gurdwara manment board in J&K. Akal Takht Jadar is supreme institution of Sikh community protecting rights and religion of Sikh community.
Gaini Harpreet Singh termed it as an anti-Sikh move for replacement of board with people minated by ministration of Jammu and Kashmir to run gurdwaras in union territory. Singh ded that this move is t acceptable.

While releasing his video mess Gaini Harpreet Singh said that board members were elected representatives of Sikh community and if J&K ministration is t in a position to conduct election y should extend existing members for 6 months due to pandemic situation.

term of board ends on July 8 and elections are due but because of COVID situation, elections cant be held. Harpreet Singh said that J&K ministration is trying to interfere into board by minating m. Singh ded that ministration should stay separate from Sikh religious affairs.
Singh also said that board is taking care of all gurudwaras in Jammu and Kashmir and ministration should conduct elections or y will extend term of existing board members. But breaking down board is t acceptable at any cost. In dition to Akal Takht statement, Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has also written a letter to JK lieutenant goverr requesting to extend existing board till time of elections. SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal mentioned that he has strong apprehensions that gurudwara manment in JK is slipping into private persons.

Meanwhile, Jadar Gaini Harpreet Singh also reacted on issue of reducing Sikh member from J&K civil service commission. Singh said that since 1947 re was always a Sikh member in commission but this time government reduced representative of Sikhs, even though Sikhs have substantial population. Gaini Harpreet Singh me a request to J&K ministration to minate a Sikh member in commission.
