Reflecting same, Former AAP leer and Public Interest Lawyer Prashant Bhushan jumped in row and said that he will challenge Government's decision. While dressing media on Wednesday, he said:

"Many years ago, Supreme Court in order to protect CBI from Government control h directed that CBI director has to be selected by a high powered committee consisting Prime Minister, leer of opposition and Chief Justice of India. It is through that committee that Shri Alok Verma was selected. Supreme Court h furr said that tenure of CBI has to be minimum two years, it obviously means that he cant be removed prematurely by Government except perhaps by high powered committee itself and only when disciplinary Proceedings are initiated against him".

"Unfortunately, today Government in order to protect Mr. Rakesh Asthana, who was brought in as a special director, y have removed Alok Verma. Alok Verma was investigating several corruption cases against Rakesh Asthana. Despite that, he was brought in. In order to protect Rakesh Asthana or perhaps in order to prevent an investigation into Rafale deal, y ordered removal Alok Verma and gave charge to Nshwar Rao. Nagaeshwar Rao has several serious complaints against him and Alok Verma h even recommended his removal from CBI. w, we are certainly going to challenge all this. Our petition will hopefully be filled by tomorrow", he ded.

Meanwhile, top government sources have said that those questioning government decision must clarify wher y want anarchy. government sources have also responded to assertion of Prashant Bhushan have said that even if anyone challenges decision, Supreme Court won't entertain it.
