Amarnath Yatra curtailed: Air India waives rescheduling & cancellation fees for flights to-&-from Srinagar
The national carrier Air India in a statement on Friday has said that it has decided to waive off the cancellation and rescheduling charges for their flights to and from Srinagar till August 15.

"In view of prevailing circumstances, national carrier has decided to give a full fee waiver on rescheduling/cancellation for all Air India flights to/from Srinagar till 15th August," statement said.

Private carriers also waive fees for Srinagar flights
Vistara, SpiceJet and IndiGo on Friday issued statements saying y will waive off cancellation fees for to and fro flights from Srinagar. carriers in ir statements said that it would be waiving off change and cancellation fees for Srinagar flights till August 9th.

Travel visory by J&K government to Yatris
Jammu and Kashmir government h earlier on Friday issued an unprecedented security visory asking Amarnath Yatris to cut short ir stay and return as soon as possible from valley. visory was issued considering prevailing security situation in Kashmir valley.
"Keeping in view latest intelligence inputs of terror threats, with specific targetting of Amarnath Yatra, and given prevailing security situation in Kashmir Valley, in interest of safety and security of tourists and Amarnath Yatris, it is viced that y may curtail ir stay in valley immediately and take necessary measures to return as soon as possible."

Indian Army briefs about security situation in valley
In a press briefing, Indian Army h categorically stated that Pakistan and terror grups backed by it h planned to disrupt peace in Kashmir. Later in evening, Republic TV accessed an intelligence te which exposed locations where terror groups such as Jaish-e-Mohamm (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) h plotted to carry out attacks. plans included targetting Yatris as well as security forces through use of suicide attacks and IED explosions.
