Amit Shah to CRPF: Maintain database of martyrs families, address their grievances

In his maiden visit to the CRPF headquarters on Friday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah emphasised upon the need to maintain a database of the martyrs' families

In his maiden visit to Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) hequarters in Delhi on Friday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah emphasised upon need to maintain a database of martyrs' families for systematically dressing ir basic issues and grievances. He also paid tributes to martyred soldiers of force who sacrificed ir lives during 1965 Indo-Pakistan war

" Home Minister directed that senior Officers should visit families of martyrs and spend time with m understanding ir requirements so that ir problems are resolved. A database should also be me of martyrs' families and ir basic issues and grievances should be systematically dressed," re a press release from Ministry of Home Affairs.

He also expressed concern about "hard and long deployment of Jawans in difficult atres" and discussed various measures for giving m relief and an opportunity to stay with ir families. Home Minister directed that building infrastructure of CRPF and ir residential quarters should be improved and more quarters at different duty locations of CRPF should be constructed.

"He also directed that cutting edge techlogies and state-of-art equipment should be identified which are required for operational purposes. He also emphasised Make-in-India effort and also asked forces to use Khi and indigeusly me products," re release.

Review functioning of CRPF

Shah reviewed functioning of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at its hequarters here and met top officials of paramilitary force. Home Minister directed CRPF to carry out an effective and decisive campaign against Left Wing Extremism in next six months.

He also directed that effective action should be taken against terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir and law and order should be maintained. Home Minister was given a detailed presentation by CRPF Director General Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar. High ranking officials of Ministry, as well as CRPF, were present on occasion.
