Amit Shah to visit Mizoram on Oct 5 to discuss CAB related issues
Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Mizoram on Saturday, October 5, his first visit to the north-eastern state after assuming the charge of the Home Ministry.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Mizoram on Saturday, his first visit to rth-eastern state after assuming charge of ministry. visit is said to be a part of Bharatiya Janata Party’s efforts to reach out to people of rth-east prior to introduction of Citizenship Amendment Bill. He will also discuss Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) related issues with state government and civil societies.
Amit Shah to dress BJP party workers
According to sources, a few Church bodies might also have a meeting with Home Minister. NGO Coordination Committee (parent civil society organization) will be representing civil societies. Mizo Students' Union is also a part of NGO Coordination Committee. This is first meeting of Union Home Minister regarding CAB with agitating organizations. He will also be dressing BJP party workers in Mizoram. His visit will be preceded by that of Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam finance minister and convener of platform of n-Congress parties floated by BJP - rth East Democratic Alliance (NEDA), on October 1.

Amit Shah: Protestors of CAB will be taken into consultation
During NEDA Conclave in Guwahati in September, Amit Shah said that all those who are protesting against CAB will be taken into consultation and n only bill will be brought in Parliament. Amit Shah has said bill will be brought in next session of Parliament and before that, consultation process has to be concluded. bill is aimed at making mirity communities such as Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhist, Jains, Parsis and Christians from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Banglesh eligible to apply for Indian citizenship and was passed in Lok Sabha in BJP government’s earlier tenure.

"CAB will be reintroduced in Parliament"
On Monday, Assam Finance, Health and PWD Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma h said that central government will reintroduce Citizenship (Amendment) Bill in Parliament in vember. dressing a public meeting, Sarma said government will table CAB in Parliament in vember and a new NRC will again be prepared under leership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.

A bill that safeguards interests of indigeus communities of Assam
Sarma said central government has decided to bring such a bill that safeguards interests of indigeus communities of Assam and or rastern states. "People must t think that bill is against interest of ir culture, langu and herit but that y are giving shelter to unfortunate people," minister said.
