The legendary Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter on Thursday night to thank his fans, followers, and well-wishers for wishing him before his birthday which falls on Friday, October 11. In his tweets, he expressed his “gratitude” towards all the people who wished him earlier and said that he would not be able to thank each one of them individually. Amitabh Bachchan is one of the stars known for following his fans on Twitter and thus he reiterated that he would not be able to reply to all of them. Amitabh Bachchan, who is still very active in the Hindi Film Industry has turned 77 years old on October 11.
Amitabh Bachchan’s early life in Bollywood
Born with the name of Inquilaab Srivastava, Amitabh Bachchan hails from Prayagraj, formerly known as Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh. Amitabh Bachchan made his debut in the Bollywood industry as a voice narrator in 1969. He narrated The National-Award winning film Bhuvan Shome by Mrinal Sen. Later, Amitabh Bachchan made his first acting debut with Saat Hindustani, where he played one of the seven protagonists. Bachchan gained popularity in the early 1970s after his films like Zanjeer, Deewar, and Sholay. After these movies, he was started being called the ‘angry young man’ of the Hindi Film Industry.
Other names registered to his fame are Shahenshah of Bollywood, Sadi ka Mahanayak, Star of the Millennium and Big B. Apart from acting, the 77-year-old actor is also seen doing other things, he has been hosting the famous ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ as the anchor for more than a decade. Apart from this, he is also an occasional playback singer and film producer. Additionally, Amitabh Bachchan has also tried his hand at politics in the 1980s.

Amitabh Bachchan has won various awards and honours in his lifetime. He won four prestigious National Film Awards as the Best Actor and Dadasaheb Phalke Award for lifetime achievement in the industry. Having won 15 Filmfare awards, he has also been the most nominated actor in with 41 nominations to his name. Apart from this, he has also won various awards at international film festivals and award ceremonies.
