Garba Raas in Madagascar

It is not only Anand Mahindra who is excited about the festival but recently, the Gujarati community in Madagascar had also organised Garba and Dandiya nights to celebrate the festival. This comes as a significant number of Gujaratis who are a part of the Indian diaspora in Madagascar as they reside in cities like Antananarivo, Antsiranana, and Mahajunga, since more than a century. A Hindu temple is also under construction in Madagascar’s Antananarivo. The construction of this temple, on a 6000 square metres of land, is likely to be completed by the end of this year.
