Anand Mahindra moved; offers car to man & mom touring India on scooter

Time and again Chairman of the Mahindra Group, Anand Mahindra takes to Twitter and shares videos which makes his followers laugh or move to tears.

This time he tweeted a heartwarming video of an individual from Mysore who quit his corporate job to take his mother on India tour on a scooter. The soul-stirring video that the business tycoon shared on Tuesday is about Dakshinmurthy Krishna Kumar from Mysore who left his banking job and travelled with his 70-year-old mother, who never stepped out of her house, on a scooter. All he wished was to show her around the country. Dakshinmurthy has so far travelled a total of 48,100 kilometres on scooter. 

He also offered to gift the man a Mahindra KUV100 NXT for his journey ahead.

Krishna Kumar visits 20 states with mother

In the video, Krishna Kumar says how his mother never got time to visit places since she was busy with her household work. Considering that she lived in a joint family, the responsibilities and work that were bestowed upon her were also huge. He says, "I lost my father four years ago. During that period of time, I used to work in Bangalore as a corporate team leader. When I asked her if she had visited any place, she told me that she hasn't even seen the Bellur district which was nearby. This struck me hard. The person who gave birth to me has not even seen Bellur district which is so close! That is when I promised her that I will not only show her Bellur but the entire country."

"On January 16, 2018, we set off for the tour on a 20-year-old scooter gifted to me by my father. That made me feel that my father is also travelling with us. First, we went to Kerala, followed by Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Karnataka, Telangana, Maharashtra, Goa, Chattisgarh, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh and we also travelled to Nepal, Bhutan and Myanmar," he added.
