Approached hotel for a job

Dwarkesh Thakkar, an engineering student and son of a millionaire oil trader, reportedly left for college on October 14 but went to Vadodara railway station and boarded a train to Delhi. There was no way to contact Thakkar as he had left his mobile behind at home. He reached Shimla and approached a hotel for a job.

The hotel manager reportedly got his ID card and contacted the Padra police station since his attire and childlike looks created suspicion. When police reached the hotel, he had already left from there. But after some efforts, police found Thakkar sleeping on the roadside. Police said the boy didn’t like the college and studies which forced him to leave home.

Social media with a different view

Social Media was divided by Mahindra’s offer as some of the users found it unnecessary to provide an opportunity to an already privileged person while few found it inspirational.

“There are so many more deserving young kids with an equal possibilty of being tomorrow's entrepreneur. It would pay to give such deserving kids an internship rather than such already entitled kids,” replied a user.

“You are truly an inspiration sir .. all of us read such news, get overwhelmed but only a few like you take some concrete action! This is indeed an encouraging gesture,” replied another user.
