The Chairman of Mahindra Group, Anand Mahindra on Sunday while extending his Diwali wishes, stated that people have become 'respectful of the environment'. Mahindra stated that they could not hear the sound of a single cracker and that things are changing for better. According to reports, in several parts of the country, only low decibel firecrackers are allowed. Recently, the government has directed its citizens to burst 'eco-friendly' crackers.

The government in the country has directed people to use only low decibel eco-friendly firecrackers. According to reports, they are also known as 'green crackers'. Further, the citizens have also been advised to avoid bursting firecrackers near hospitals and places of worship.
