Anand Mahindra responds to PM Modi's 'wealth creators are the nation's wealth, don't view with suspicion' remark

Chairman of Mahindra Group replied to PM Modi's remarks on wealth creators being India's wealth and said that with his statement, the Prime Minister has unequivocally reminded everyone that law-abiding business persons are at the heart of the $5 Trillion economy dream.

Business tycoon Anand Mahindra on Thursday thanked PM Modi over his remarks on wealth creators in his Independence Day address. The Chairman of Mahindra Group replied to PM Modi's remarks on wealth creators being India's wealth and said that with his statement, the Prime Minister has unequivocally reminded everyone that law-abiding business persons are at the heart of the $5 Trillion economy dream.

He appealed the business persons to ensure that the faith is not betrayed. Anand Mahindra went on to extend Independence Day greeting to PM Modi and India.

On Thursday, in his August 15 address to the nation, hailed wealth creation as a great national service, appealing the nation to never see wealth creators with suspicion. He also added that wealth creators are India's wealth and we respect them. 

Adding to his remarks on the 5 Trillion Dollar economy, PM Modi announced that his government will invest a massive Rs 100 lakh crore on developing modern infrastructure that will aid in nearly doubling the size of the Indian economy to USD 5 trillion in the next five years.

Earlier in the day, Mahindra extended his Independence Day greetings through a music video, saying that 'emotions are best expressed through songs.' In the video, several singers could be seen performing on remixes of Bollywood patriotic songs, including- 'Maa Tujhe Salaam', 'Jai Ho', 'Chak De India' among few others.
