Andhra Pradesh government launched an innovative mechanism this Kharif season to prevent farmers from falling prey to middlemen while selling their produce.

farmers of state can w register mselves in vance on a portal called 'Comprehensive Monitoring of Agriculture, Price, and Procurement' (CMAPP) and provide information about  quantity y want to sell, after which y can come and sell ir produce at procurement centres.  support prices which has been anunced by government will n be directly transferred to ir accounts.

Setting up more procurement centres

ANI has quoted a senior official from agricultural marketing department stating that government was setting up more procurement centres in state to assist farmers even from remote vills and rural areas in selling ir produce at optimum prices.

"For first time in Andhra Presh, 8,256 procurement centres have been set up in link with Rythu Bharosa Kendras (RBKs) across state for procurement of crops for current Kharif season. Farmers have to register ir details at RBKs before selling ir produce to government procurement centres," official said.

Till date, over 75,000 farmers have registered ir crops in CMAPP app for this Kharif season, of which 14,309 are for Bajra, 4,789 for Ragi, 826 for Korra, 1,289 for Cotton, and 36 for Onion. ministration has also extended date last date of registration to October 26 in light of recent heavy rainfall in Andhra Presh.
