Andhra govt orders inquiry in delay of CM Reddy's tour to flood areas
Andhra Pradesh government ordered an inquiry into the matter of a miscommunication on Thursday that led to a delay in CM Reddy's tour to the flood-hit areas.

Andhra Pradesh government has ordered an inquiry into matter of a miscommunication on Thursday that led to a delay in Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy's tour to flood-hit areas in state. According to reports, Kurol District Collector, G Veerapandian issued tices to seven district-level officials in matter. This included Assistant Director of Survey and Land Records, Deputy Inspector of Survey and District Water Manment ncy (DWMA) Project Director, Tehsildar of Sirivella and Nandyal.
Veerapandian boosts action
In order to look into matter carefully, District Collector Veerapandian appointed a District Revenue Officer. Revenue officer has directed or officials to submit relevant documents pertaining to matter on September 30, stated reports. Furr reports stated that Veerapandian has also informed Chief Minister's Office (CMO) about officer's negligence that led to delay.

CM Jagan Mohan Reddy's delay
Just after incessant rains caused a flash flood in several districts of state, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Jagan Mohan Reddy had planned to visit flood-hit areas. CM Reddy was scheduled to visit affected areas of Kurol district along with district officials on September 21. However, his tour was delayed due to some miscommunication. Furr, according to reports, just after CM Reddy had conducted an aerial survey of flood situation in Nandyal, it was revealed that district officials had allegedly failed to inform authorities about helipad, leading to a delay.

Floods in Andhra Pradesh
Last week, incessant rains caused flash floods in several districts of Andhra Pradesh. According to reports, n-stop rain and floods was reported in Nandyal, Mahanandi, Gospadu, Sanjamala, Chagalamarri, Owk, Koilakuntla, Banaganapalle, Rudravaram, Dornipadu and Panyam districts of state. According to reports, famous Mahanandi temple in Kurol district was submerged in water. A flood warning was issued in state during second week of September.
