Andhra Pradesh: Elephants found wandering near tribal hamlet
Andhra Pradesh District Forest Officer Gundala Sandeep Krupakar told a news agency that there was nothing to worry about as animals were in habitat.

At least four elephants were reportedly found meandering in forest area near Ondru Jola tribal hamlet in Seethampeta Mandal in Andhra Presh's Srikakulam district. Srikakulam District Forest Officer Gundala Sandeep Krupakar told ANI on a phone call that re was thing to worry about as animals were within premises of ir regular habitat.
"se elephants usually wander in surrounding area in a specific order. y keep on moving from one vill to ar, without disturbing local villrs. y are in this area for over a dece," Krupakar said. "re has t been any problem with se elephants to date," District Forest Officer furr said.

15 trackers to monitor movement of elephants
According to a news ncy report, department has appointed over 15 trackers to monitor movement of elephants in region for ir safety. This keeps authorities updated with location of se creatures so that y can be driven away from human habitat. trackers attached to bodies of tuskers help officials to inform local people about ir movement in vance, Krupakar ded.
As early as a couple of days ago, ar herd of elephants was spotted gared around carcass of an elephant that was found in a forest in Surajpur district. carcass was yet to be retrieved by Forest Department, as per a news ncy report. In a separate sighting, a herd of over 20 elephants strayed into a vill in West Bengal's Bankura district in search of food, damaging several houses over last two days, officials said, according to reports. incident occurred in Beliatore area of district. A forest department official said 23 jumbos are w camping in nearby forest after being chased away.
