In a shocking incident, a 15-feet-long king cobra was rescued from a vill in Andhra Presh. According to reports, incident took place in Visakhapatnam district's Tammapalli vill on May 25. forest officials reportedly rescued snake and n released it into premises of Cherukupalli Reserved Forest. Visakhapatnam District Forest Officer C Selvam reportedly said that reptile was spotted by villrs and y immediately informed forest officials in a state of shock and panic. Selvam reportedly said that y got information from villrs and immediately sent a rescue team along with Wildlife NGO conservation.

He furr ded that snake was successfully rescued and released in nearby forest area. According to reports, officials said that snakes were commonly found in this region and in last 18 months, at least 12 snakes have been found in Visakhapatnam region alone. King cobra is regarded as world's longest vemous snake. species is endangered due to habitat destruction and has been listed as 'vulnerable' on International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List since 2010.
