Andhra Pradesh government has anunced Rs 10 lakhs ex-gratia in form of fixed deposit to children, who lost ir parents to COVID-19. scheme applies to children below of 18 years whose families are below poverty line, Chief Minister's Office said on Thursday.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government hoped that by making a fixed deposit of Rs 10 lakhs per child, y could utilize interest amount of Rs 5,000 for ir sustenance and fixed deposit as security for ir future. After attaining of 25 years y can redeem FD amount of Rs 10 lakhs for ir future.

Medical and Health Department has issued guidelines for implementation of scheme, allowing district collectors to apply scheme in ir respective districts. So far, state has identified 34 orphaned children over last week and state government has issued FD bonds worth Rs 10 lakhs to each of m.
Chhattisgarh & Delhi govts anunce financial aid
Two weeks ago, Chhattisgarh government decided to take responsibility of educating children who have lost both ir parents due to COVID-19 infection. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said state government will bear expenses of children who lost ir parents to COVID-19 outbreak. He also pledged to extend monetary help to families who have lost ir earning member to COVID.

Coronavirus situation in Andhra
Recoveries continue to outnumber fresh cases of coronavirus in Andhra Pradesh but daily fatalities continue to hit century mark, even as state is in a comfortable position to handle decreasing caseload. latest bulletin showed 21,385 recoveries as against 16,167 fresh Covid-19 cases and 104 deaths in 24 hours ending 9 am on Thursday.
