Andhra Shocker: Govt School Principal Chops Off Girl Students' Hair For Coming Late; Suspended
A government school principal in Andhra Pradesh has been suspended for cutting the hair of girl students who were allegedly late to school.

Andhra Presh: A government school principal in Andhra Presh's Alluri Sitharama Raju districts, who recently cut hair of a few girl students for allegedly arriving late to school, has been suspended.
B Srinivasa Rao, State Project Director of Samagra Shiksha, said incident occurred recently and came to light on Monday, prompting department to initiate an inquiry against U Sai Prasanna.

According to director, incident took place at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV), a girls’ residential school in G Mugula of Alluri Sitaramaraju District.
"On Monday, we conducted an inquiry, and late at night (Monday), collector issued suspension orders," Rao said.

inquiry, led by district educational officer (DEO) and girl child development officer, resulted in disciplinary proceedings against Principal Prasanna.
" principal (Prasanna) has mitted to taking action by cutting hair/excess hair of some students. Hence, prima facie allegation has been proven beyond doubt," suspension order stated.
