Anti-Pakistan protest by Gujjars over killing of two in South Kashmir
Gujjars staged an anti-Pakistan protest on Wednesday against the killing of two members of the community by Pakistan backed terrorists in South Kashmir.

People of Gujjar-Bakharwal community, led by former Minister Abdul Gani Kohli std an anti-Pakistan protest on Wednesday against killing of two members of community by Pakistan backed terrorists in Kashmir following abrogation of Article 370. Several BJP leers belonging to Gujjar community, including state vice president Ghulam Ali Khatana, also joined protest outside party hequarters and raised anti-Pakistan slogans. Residing in Kashmir, Gujjars and Bakerwals are one tribe popularly kwn as Gurjar or Gurjars.

Describing killing of two Gujjars as "murder of humanity and an anti-Islamic act", Khatana expressed hope that killers will be identified and appropriate action will be taken against m.

Terrorists attack Gujjar community
Bullet-riddled bodies of two ms -- Abdul Qir Kohli and his cousin Manzoor Ahm Kohli -- were recovered on Monday and Tuesday, respectively, after y were abducted by terrorists from higher reaches of Tral in South Kashmir on intervening night of August 18 and 19. was recovered by a search and rescue party, while an operation to trace or person is underway.

Abrogation of Article 370
Tensions between India and Pakistan spiked after India abrogated provisions of Article 370 of Constitution, evoking strong reactions from Pakistan. India has categorically told international community that scrapping of Article 370 was an internal matter and also vised Pakistan to accept reality.
Subsequent to abrogation of Article 370 from Indian constitution, Jammu and Kashmir was put under a communication lockdown over security concerns and mainstream Opposition leers like PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti, NC leer Omar Abdullah, JKPC president Saj Lone were put on house arrest.
