Apple deploys vast supply chain chops to aid Covid fight; 20 million face-masks sourced
Apple CEO Tim Cook announced that in order to contribute in the fight against COVID-19, Apple had ventured into designing face shields for healthcare workers.

Apple CEO Tim Cook anunced that in ir bid to contribute in fight against COVID-19 pandemic, Apple h ventured into designing face shields for healthcare workers across US. Taking to Twitter, Tim Cook revealed that through ir supply chain y h been able to raise over 20 million face masks around world. He ded that w, a company-wide effort h been launched, bringing toger engineers, product designers, and supply chains to design face shields for healthcare professionals.

Tim Cook stated that Apple was planning to ship over one million face shields by end of week and ar one million per week after that. He also stated that Kaiser Hospital facilities in Santa Clara Valley, California h been supplied first batch and feedback h been great. Showing how each face shield could be assembled in two minutes, Tim Cook said that ir next effort would be to get in touch with government officials to supply se face shields wherever y were most needed across US.

California-based tech giant on its website has also set up instructions on how to assemble se face shields on ir support p. vant of using face shields over masks is that y can be reused since y are me of hard plastic. Apple states that shields can be reused a number of times by sterilizing m using chemicals that comprise of 70% Ethal, 70% Isopropyl Alcohol, 6% Bleach and 3% Hydrogen Peroxide.
