Armed Youths Open Fire At Pub In Delhi's Satya Niketan During Birthday Party
A group of men opened fire in Southwest Delhi's South Campus police station area after an argument on Sunday evening in the Satya Niketan area.
New Delhi: A group of men opened fire in Southwest Delhi's South Campus police station area after an argument on Sunday evening. The incident took place at a pub in the Satya Niketan area, over seating arrangements. The police officials confirmed the incident saying that a few accused have been detained by the police, one of whom has been identified as Ahmed. The police have seized their vehicle as well.
According to the police, a group of young men from Jahangirpuri had come to the Love Bites Cafe located in the Satya Niketan area to celebrate a birthday party. An altercation erupted at the pub with the pub manager and the situation escalated when a disagreement over seating arrangements arose. The altercation quickly turned violent, leading one of the young men to open fire inside the pub.
Irked by the argument, Ahmed fired a few rounds in the air from his gun. However, no one was injured. Later, pub authorities made a PCR and the accused was arrested.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
