Army chief Bipin Ravat emphasis need to re-organise military resources
Army chief General Bipin Rawat underlined the need to re-organize and install military resources so as to use the defence budget in a fruitful manner

Army chief General Bipin Rawat on Saturday underlined need to re-organise and install military resources so as to use defence budget effectively. Speaking at Forum for Integrated National Security, Rawat said that India should just its military ambitions with size of ecomy.
"We must make sure that ecomic flight is calibrated with a span of our strategic stride. We must tamper our military ambition with size of our ecomy and budgetary allocation that we receive," he said.
Stressing on need to reorganize military resources, he said, "We must cut cloak to size. Too many tight-fitting garments will t suit us and oversize garments will only le to avoidable expenditures."
Bipin Rawat assured participants that Army has been working on same. Army chief said that techlogy, connectivity, and tre were at "heart of new consternations," and that diplomacy has increased rapidly. Stating that nature of warfare is changing, he said, "Some thought leers opined that for all-out conflict is narrowing."

"We are entering an era of n-war wars and durable disorder. world may t collapse to anarchy but simmer in perpetual conflict," Rawat ded.
He said that Army has to be a part of country's desire to become a $5-trillion ecomy, creating an inclusive socio-ecomic order in nation. " principal challenge before Indian defence is to be a part of our aspirational goal of becoming $5 trillion ecomies," Rawat said.

aim of joint training exercise was to build and promote positive relations between armies of India and Sri Lanka with a focus on sub-unit-level training for counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism operations in urban and rural environment under United Nations (UN) mandate. A contingent comprising of 120 personnel each from Sri Lankan and Indian Army participated in exercise.
