Article 370: Naqvi kicks off a bike rally to Jammu and Kashmir

Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Union Minister of Minority Affairs, flagged off a bike ride to Jammu and Kashmir to celebrate the revocation of Article 370 and to spread a message of patriotism.

“The bike rally is to send the message of ‘Ek Vidhan, Ek Samvidhan’ (one legislative, one constitution) in all rural and urban areas. After the abrogation of Article 370, it is important to create awareness among the masses about its positive results”, said Naqvi. Addressing the media, Naqvi further said, "The bikers will apprise masses that the Indian flag will be hoisted in the region. It is an attempt to generate a feeling of nationalism. It is not politics. It is about the country.”

“The Kashmiri youths will surely get inspired by the rally. Revocation of Article 370 is a historic moment for all of us. There is a positive environment in Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh,”  said Naqvi.

The bike rally is being headed by a woman biker Raj Lakshmi who arrived with her team to Delhi from Kanyakumari and will cover a distance of 5000 kilometres in the rally. Speaking about the campaign, Lakshmi said, "It is about the country. All should come forward together. We will spread the message of 'Ek Vidhan, Ek Samvidhan'. All bikers will carry Indian flags with them throughout the rally."

Sampark Abhiyan: An Awareness Campaign 

BJP will kick off a campaign ‘Sampark Abhiyan’ on the abrogation of Article 370 in which Union Minister Amit Shah will also participate on September 2. Two committees have been formed for the preparation of the Jan Jagaran Abhiyan-public awareness campaign and Sampark Abhiyan on Article 370 from September 1 to 30.

Under this campaign, several programs will be conducted across the country. BJP leaders will meet 2,000 intellectuals. Shah, as the National President of BJP, will start the campaign from New Delhi on September 2. Reportedly, the names of the personalities to whom Shah will meet at his first meeting are yet to be decided. The public awareness campaign on Article 370 will be conducted in 370 places including 35 big cities. The committees are headed by Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
