Border Ros Organisation would bring in labourers from within and outside state for constructing ros and maintenance work near Si-India border amid lockdown, BRO sources said here on Sunday.

state government recently issued a circular allowing central paramilitary forces and Border Ro Task Force "to bring labourers to state for ir approved activities like ro construction and maintenance works", sources in BRO's Project Arunank said.

Project Arunank has a vital role in development of strategic ros and in a larger perspective, overall communication system, designed for socio-ecomic development of Arunachal Presh.

circular came at a time when nationwide lockdown is in force and Arunachal Presh is still a green zone.

"Large numbers of labourers are expected to be brought by BRO and or central ncies into state to resume ir work in state. se labourers are required to be camped in quarantine facilities arranged by BRO at Kimin and Bhalukpong," circular said.

It said workers will stay in those camps till result of ir swab testing is kwn.

All deputy commissioners and district medical officers have been asked to coordinate with BRO and CPMFs to ensure strict compliance of COVID-19 guidelines. PTI COR NN SNE
