Kejriwal raises questions over CAA and jobs for minorities in India
On Wednesday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal raised the issue of unemployment in the country linking it to the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2019.

On Wednesday, December 18, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal raised issue of unemployment in India linking it to Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2019 asking government about how y propose to provide jobs to all persecuted mirities from or countries at a time when India itself was dealing with severe problems of unemployment. Kejriwal slammed CAA stating that it would be an ded burden to alrey plummeting ecomy and surging prices.

Speaking at an event Kejriwal asked who would provide a means for employment to se mirities when Indians mselves were struggling for employment. Under CAA, members of Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi and Christian communities who have come from Pakistan, Banglesh and Afghanistan till December 31, 2014, facing religious persecution will t be treated as illegal immigrants but given Indian citizenship.

BJP blames AAP for inciting violence on CAA
Recently Delhi BJP President and Member of Parliament Maj Tiwari slammed Aam mi Party for spreing rumours and instigating violence in national capital. Tiwari stated that people of Delhi must be aware of rumours and t follow m blindly. He also urged citizens to protest in a silent manner and t resort to violence of any kind.
" five political leers named in FIR by Delhi police are from AAP and Congress. Even AAP student leers are named in FIR. So w it is clear who is creating this violence. next main issue is that people are t reing or understanding CAA. People are blindly believing and following rumours. I am constantly appealing to people to t trust any rumours," he said.

Section 144 imposed in some localities in rth-East Delhi
situation in Delhi is peaceful by and large, but prohibitory orders under CrPC section 144 have been imposed in some localities in rth-East Delhi, official said. Except at Ro 13 near Jamia Millia Islamia University, w re is protest anywhere in city, ar official said. Besides, protest is taking place in any of 42 central universities in country, official said.
