Minutes after PM Narendra Modi’s dress to nation on Thursday, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot backed him in fight against COVID-19 pandemic. He stated that all stakeholders including opposition parties, medical experts, and religious leers h been taken on board. Moreover, he asserted that re was need to hoard essential items. ditionally, Gehlot declared that all government and semi-government departments, except departments concerned with essential services, would be shut. He also anunced postponement of all school and college examinations until furr orders.

He stressed that “resolve” and “restraint” were two most important things to be followed. Maintaining that re was medicine for this virus, he urged people to abide by Centre and state government’s directives on social distancing, which he termed as extremely necessary in this phase.

PM requested citizens to avoid going out and isolate mselves unless it is absolutely essential barring for professionals such as doctors, government officials, journalists, etc. Moreover, he appealed that senior citizens should stay at home.
