Ashok Tanwar won't be given entry into BJP: Manohar Lal Khattar

Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar ruled out any possibility of inducting former state Cong chief Ashok Tanwar into the BJP fold after the latter quit his party.

Haryana Chief Minister Mahar Lal Khattar on Saturday ruled out any possibility of inducting former state Congress chief Ashok Tanwar into BJP fold after latter quit his party.

Khattar slammed opposition Congress, saying Tanwar's allegations of irregularities in ticket allotment have exposed party, and asserted only those people who have a "clean past" and "carry bagg" will be allowed to join BJP.

We will t give him (Tanwar) entry (into BJP), he told reporters in Karnal. Asked about Tanwar's reported remarks that BJP h invited him, Khattar said it was completely wrong. "H BJP invited him (Tanwar), he would have come by w," chief minister said. 

He was speaking after Tanwar resigned from primary membership of Congress on Saturday, in a setback to party ahe of October 21 Assembly polls.

former MP anunced his resignation on Twitter and posted a four-p resignation letter dressed to Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

"Earlier also, it used to happen re (Congress). w people and leers have understood that y should t remain in such a party. Tanwar's resignation came days after he along with his supporters protested outside Sonia Gandhi's residence in Delhi over alleged irregularities in ticket distribution.

He h n resigned from all election committees of party.

Tanwar, who was considered close to Rahul Gandhi and h been state unit chief since 2014, was unhappy after party last month replaced him with Kumari Selja, while his bete ire Bhupender Singh Hooda was appointed chairperson of election manment committee. 

Tanwar h said that Congress in Haryana h turned into "Hooda Congress" as those who worked against party's interests during last five years h been given prominence.
