Ayodhya gangrape: To ensure the safety and privacy of the minor gangrape victim in Ayodhya, authorities have implemented round-the-clock security measures at a district hospital. The victim has been provided a private room where only family members are permitted to visit her. The decision comes after the Lucknow Child Rights Commission urged the District Magistrate to arrange for protective measures for the young survivor.
In addition to the hospital security, a police presence has been established at the victim's residence in Bhadasra, Ayodhya, to further ensure her safety. Further reports said a male and female constable are also stationed with the victim at all times in the hospital.

A 12-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. According to reports, the girl was allegedly gang-raped by three men, one of whom is purportedly linked to the Samajwadi Party (SP). The accused are alleged to have filmed an obscene video of the victim and threatened her with dire consequences. The case came to light after the minor girl was found pregnant.
The incident took place in the Purakalandar police station area of Ayodhya. Both suspects have been arrested; one is the Bhadarsa Nagar President of the Samajwadi Party. The revelation of this case has intensified anger among Hindu organizations.

Reports said that the victim's father died two years ago, and her mother and sisters have been supporting the family by working as labourers. It is alleged that approximately two and a half months ago, while the victim was returning from the fields after work, Raju, a worker at a local bakery, told her that the bakery owner, Moeed Khan, wanted to see her. When the girl reached there, Moeed Khan and Raju took turns to rape her and recorded the assault.
The victim's family claimed the police initially resisted their complaints, allegedly suggesting that only Raju be named in the report and that Moeed Khan’s involvement be omitted due to his political influence.

Despite persistent efforts by the victim’s family to seek justice, their pleas were ignored until intervention by the Nishad Party and various Hindu organizations, including VHP and Bajrang Dal. These groups rallied public support and filed a case with the police, warning of street protests if the authorities failed to act.
Under pressure, the police have now arrested both accused individuals. The victim has undergone a medical examination, and DNA samples have been submitted for forensic analysis. CEO Ashutosh Tiwari has confirmed the arrest of the suspects and stated that further investigations are underway.
