While speaking about the Ayodhya case, politician on September 18, author and professor Rakesh Sinha, reacted to the Supreme Court’s decision of fastening the process to reach a possible solution on the Ayodhya issue and said the Supreme Court’s decision is worth praising and that all is well that ends well.

He said, “Look, all is well that ends well. Till a few days back, we thought that the Supreme Court is busy with cases like Sabrimala, Jalikutti and Article 370. We felt that these cases were well taken care of but the case of Ram Janmabhumi was being neglected. But now the Supreme Court has taken the decision to give it’s verdict as soon as possible. This is really worth praising and is very positive.” He also added, “This year, we hope that we will celebrate two Diwalis. One, the Diwali festival itself and the other when the verdict on this case comes out.”

When asked about Kapil Sibal connecting the issue with elections and saying that the decision should be postponed for a while, owing to the election environment, Sinha said, “RSS and BJP have seen this issue with a cultural and integral view. Congress has seen it with a viewpoint of a vote bank. This is the basic difference. So that is why Kapil Sibbal connected the issue with elections. This is very defaming.”

He further added, “It is not only defaming that it is being connected to the election but also because Lord Ram, who is worshipped by Indians, issue is being insulted. Lord Ram is the soul of Indian culture.”

Congress is always bent upon the vote bank: Sinha

Further speaking about the Congress party, he said, “Congress is always bent upon vote banks. Due to vote bank, Kapil Sibbal tried to delay this topic. The soul of Congress is just votes, but our soul is Lord Ram.”

On a related note, the Supreme Court, on Wednesday, expressed its intent to not delay the matter anymore and set a deadline for all parties to complete their final arguments in the Ayodhya land dispute case. The apex court further asked all stakeholders to finish the arguments by October 18.
