Ayodhya verdict: AIMPLB's Zafaryab Jilani unsatisfied with judgment

AIMPLB Secretary Zafaryab Jilani who represented the Sunni Central Waqf Board has said that he was not satisfied with the SC verdict on Ayodhya dispute

As Supreme Court delivered verdict of Ayodhya land dispute case by handing over disputed land to Hindus and giving 5 acres of suitable land to Muslims,  All India Muslim Personal Law Board secretary and Senior vocate Zafaryab Jilani who represented Sunni Central Waqf Board said that he is t satisfied with SC verdict.

"t satisfied with judgement. Will decide future course of action. We respect judgement. re should be peace," Senior vocate Zafaryab Jilani stated.

Prouncing landmark judgment in Ayodhya dispute case, Supreme Court on Saturday, delivered a unanimous judgment in title suit of disputed area awarding it to Hindu parties for construction of a temple. It also directed Centre to come up with a scheme within three months to set up a trust which will hand over outer courtyard and inner courtyard of site for construction of a temple. Apart from this, SC stated that an alternate land of 5 acres is to be allotted to Muslims, eir by central govt or State govt, in a suitable and prominent place in Ayodhya. CJI Ranjan Gogoi, while delivering unanimous judgment, dismissed claims of Sunni Central Waqf Board and Nirmohi Akhara. He also termed that three-way division of disputed land by Allahab HC in its 2010 verdict was wrong.

CJI says onus on government to build temple

SC bench on Saturday said Hindu litigants were able to establish ir case that y were in possession of outer courtyard whereas Muslim side was unable to prove ir exclusive possession. CJI Ranjan Gogoi said that Centre has to formulate a scheme under Ayodhya Act 1993 within 3 months. Scheme will have a Trust for manment and construction of temple. inner courtyard and outer courtyard will be handed over to Trust. CJI Ranjan Gogoi ruled that Muslim groups will get 5 acres of alternate land.
