Bahraich CLASH: 1 Killed, Several Injured As Clash Erupts Between 2 Community During Idol Immersion

Bahraich: At least one person was killed and several ors were injured in Uttar Presh’s Bahraich after a clash erupted between two groups of people during goddess Durga idol’s immersion procession on Sunday. incident occurred under Hardi police station area in Mahsi Tehsil on Sunday evening, during which stones were pelted at procession in Maharajganj town. On information, local police along with troops of security forces rushed to spot and brought situation under control.

According to police sources, incident occurred after a dispute broke out between two communities during idol immersion. As per reports, gunshots were also fired apart from stone pelting during incident. deceased has been identified as Ram Gopal Mishra (22), a resident of Rehua, who was part of procession. He received bullet injuries leing to his death.

After death of one of devotees, people in large numbers gared and blocked ro outside hospital. protesters demanded stringent action against those responsible for stone pelting.
