The situation intensified when the activists, responding to claims of illegal meat transportation, launched an attack on a train arriving from Jaipur.

For the unversed, reports claimed that dog meat was allegedly being supplied in Bengaluru’s Majestic area in garb of goat meat. Although official confirmation is awaited, sources told Republic TV that over 4,500 kilograms of dog meat are brought into the city daily. The alleged trade involves transporting the meat from other states, particularly Rajasthan by train, with transactions taking place in the Majestic locality. ‘Dog Meat Brought in Name of Mutton’: What Hindu activists allege

As per reports, Hindu groups have claimed that dog meat is being brought as mutton in the Majestic area. A video accessed by Republic Kannada shows visuals of a long tail that many argue could not belong to a goat. This led to a chaotic scene, with activists confronting meat buyers who insisted the meat was indeed mutton.

The altercation caused a stir at Yeshwantpur railway station as traders and activists clashed. The arrival of 90 boxes of meat from Rajasthan, amounting to 4,500 kilograms, intensified the tension. Amidst the chaos, the merchant in charge refused to permit further inspection of the meat. Food Safety and Quality Department officials were on the scene but did not approve the opening of more boxes for review.
